Carly Hammond​

Carly Hammond Meister began her formal training at Geiger Ballet under the guidance of Artistic Director Mary C. Geiger. She is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Ballet Performance and an Outside Field in Education. Ms. Meister danced professionally for 9 years with Ballet San Antonio and The Georgia Ballet. Ms. Meister’s repertoire includes Martha Graham’s Appalachian Spring (The Bride), George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations (Principal) and The Four Temperaments (Sanguinic), Violette Verdy’s Variations for Eight, Cinderella (Cinderella), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), The Nutcracker (Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Dew Drop, Spanish duet), Ben Stevenson’s Romeo and Juliet (Harlot) and Swan Lake (Pas de Trois, Spanish, Neapolitan), Gerald Arpino’s Confetti (Principal), Les Sylphides (Waltz Girl), La Fille Mal Gardee (Lise), Giselle (Peasant Pas de Deux, Moyna), Flames of Paris (Principal), Paquita (Soloist), and Daet Rodriguez’s Peter Pan (Tiger Lily). Carly is looking forward to her seventh year at AABD as Assistant Ballet Academy Director and is excited to continue sharing her knowledge and passion of dance to the next generation!
